In collaboration with the 'GIVE Foundation,' we ventured into the realm of exceptional learning at Zilla Parishad School, Hiwali, Nashik, located 75 km from Nashik City. Students, aged 4 to 12, demonstrated remarkable skills that left an impression. During our Christmas Donation Drive, our team generously contributed various items, including books, clothing, stationery, edibles, and toys, to support these underprivileged children. Witnessing the joy on students' faces was truly rewarding when we handed over this donation to them. A warm welcome and handshakes extended by the students as they guided us through the school's vibrant ambiance made this experience uniquely special.
Impact: Our contribution to the donation drive has directly impacted the lives of 70 adivasi students at Zilla Parishad School, Hiwali, fostering a brighter future for these young minds. We felt happy in empowering dreams and building a legacy of knowledge and compassion.
Conducting Joy of Giving Week at Sterling and Wilson and donating sports equipment to over 96 children aged between 6-12 years at BJ Home for Children in association with iCare charity.

S&W partnered with The Healing Touch Foundation, for the upliftment of the Zila Parishad Central Primary School in Chilwadi, and helped in the construction of school toilets, ground well, and levelling of the school ground.
Impact: 300 school children now have access to toilets and a playground.
Sterling and Wilson has adopted Kalsumpada tribal village for overall development of the population, and especially the children. We donated educational material and provided safe drinking water solutions.
Impact: 62 tribal students have access to safe drinking water, which has reduced absenteeism ratio due to water borne diseases.
In association with an NGO — Indian Development Foundation (IDF) — Sterling and Wilson participated in a school donation drive as part of the i-Care initiative in July 2019 by contributing Rs. 3.37 lakh as financial aid.
Impact: We supported 979 tribal students belonging to 6 schools in Dahanu (Maharashtra), including ZP Dhamangaon and ZP Ambesari School.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Organization is committed to serving the community at large. We have been associated with Nirmaya Health Foundation to support a cause. We have taken up the cause to improve the health status of adolescent girls through early detection and management of Iron Deficiency Anemia. We are also promoting positive health seeking behavior among adolescent girls and their families. To improve the knowledge of community stakeholders about Iron Deficiency anemia.
We distributed Nutritional kits and launched a book called “Maitricha Katta” which mentions the importance of nutritional food.
Imapct : Adolescent girls between 11 to 19 years of age. We have catered to 2000 girls.
In February 2020 our NGO partner Nirmaya organised Kishori Mela under our Anemia Reduction Program wherein 150 adolescent girls (beneficiaries of our program) took part in a cooking competition and prepared nutritious meals. Winners were selected by nutritionists from Nirmala Niketan College and our 3 employees volunteered in the mela.
Impact: Our efforts were appreciated by the community leaders and the ICDS staff. This continued support from Sterling and Wilson Solar for Anemia Reduction Program was recognised by industry leaders.
S&W carried out an Annual Health Check-up Camp in Almasole and Lagadori villages near Kolkata.
Impact: 250 villagers got an assessment of their health, with a complete body check-up including ENT and blood check-up. In case of identification of any disease, preliminary medicines were provided.
Since 2015, S&W has been providing financial support to Vinoba Bhave Civil Hospital for conducting periodic medical health check-up camps for nearby villages and has made medicines available for Leprosy patients and dialysis facility for kidney patients.
Impact: Over 250 underprivileged dialysis patients received free treatment. Periodical medical check-up & free medicine distribution camps organised for the villagers.
S&W contributed towards the installation of a 44kW solar roof panel and diesel generator set at Masina Hospital, Byculla. Existing aluminium cables were replaced with copper cables. SWPL also provided maintenance-free chemical earthing and connection to the existing earth-grid for the strengthening of the cables.
Impact: The solar plant now helps the hospital in both saving energy costs, as well as providing uninterrupted power supply, especially in the summer.
Terna River is the main source of water required for irrigation to the Osmanabad, Ter, and Ausa areas of Maharashtra. S&W has helped in desilting 700m of the Terna river bed.
Impact: The mud and silt collected were used by the farmers to increase the productivity of the farmland. The desilting increased the level of the water table and the river’s capacity to store water. This solved for the availability of drinking water for 2 villages and increased farmland productivity from 3 to 4 per quintal to 8 to 9 per quintal.
In partnership with Eureka Forbes, we provided 2 RO plant at Chilwadi, Maharashtra. This Plants provide safe drinking water to the local community.
Impact: Control over waterborne diseases like diarrhoea, malaria, cholera and typhoid, especially during the monsoons; with 1500 families benefited and an increase in employment for 3-4 villages.
Sterling Generators renovated an Anganwadi centre in Chauda Village, located near our Silvassa factory, which provides education to over 120 students and focuses on improving the health and development of women.
The renovation project included civil work to improve the building's structure and the installation of new windows, doors, and other fittings. We built a new playground with fine sand and play equipment and a lawn around the premises. We also organised a tree plantation.
The formal inauguration of the renovated centre was done by Ms. Bhanu Prabha, Honourable Collector of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, in the presence of Ms. Namrata Parmar, Deputy Director of Education. During the event, drawing books, crayons, and sweets were distributed to all the students. This renovation project has undoubtedly contributed to improving the education and health of the students and women in the Chauda Village community.
Impact: With welcoming infrastructure and a mid-day meal scheme, students aged 1 to 6 years avoid missing school and regularly attend classes. The initiative will also impact the upcoming generations. The Anganwadi is also a key centre for pregnant ladies, anaemic women, and other training programs.
S&W took the initiative of refurbishing an old age home in Delhi. We renovated the complete 2 storey building by redoing the paint, tile work, front elevations, toilets, and replacing the old electric wiring, and geyser. After park levelling and grass cutting, the total cost of the project was about INR 8.5 Lakhs.
Impact: The home, with a capacity of 25 people was inaugurated by our Director, Mr. Bikesh Ogra in February 2020.

Impact: Donation of ₹5,00,000 that goes towards a noble cause.
WASH is a project by Aakar Charitable Trust. The trust has constructed many water harvesting structures popularly known as check-dams. S&W has helped the trust in making 4 check-dams in rural areas of Alwar, Rajasthan.
Impact: This project has proved to be of great ecological importance, meeting the daily water needs of 600 villagers.
S&W has been working on the Silvassa Kalsumpada Tribal Village Development Project since 2015. We have completed the building of 40 houses, along with drainage and sanitation. We have also conducted periodic health surveys and provided technical training to students in various trades.
