Sterling and Wilson has seen an exponential growth during the last 10 years. From being primarily an Electrical company it has diversified into several other emerging areas of operation.
The Solar Business Vertical was set up by Sterling and Wilson to support the initiatives to promote renewable energy by our Central Government as well as many other State Governments and tap the immense market opportunities in this domain.
Story So Far…
Our journey started with commissioning of 1 MW, NDPL, New Delhi, in partnership with leading module manufacturer of India in December 2010 and then there was no looking back.
We grew from strength to strength and are now working on the 20th solar project, with scope varying from turnkey EPC and balance of system to 33/66 kV power evacuation. We have now 19 projects aggregating to 80 MW successfully and timely commissioned and connected to the grid.
We have, through this journey gained rich experience in variety in module types (mono, poly, imported/local; and thin films of 3 different brands), various inverters (4 brands), unique soil conditions in each of the 12 states; different foundation/ramming/rafting types. 4.5 months actual execution time for 25MW and 3-3.5 months for 5.5MW multiple projects has proven our project management and resource mobilization capabilities. Engineering designs were vetted by German, Spanish and Indian owner’s engineers.
Our customers range from leading financial service providers, Traditional Power companies, Automobile manufacturer, IT services companies, Oil and Gas exploration players to Telecom infra companies and many more.
