The Medical Cyclotron facility – first of its kind in India, is under development at a new campus at Mouza Chowkgaria, Kolkata, by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. This facility will be used, mainly for the production of radioisotopes & radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging in Single Photo Emission Computed Tomography and Positron Emission Tomography, besides front line research experiments in the fields of material sciences, radiochemistry, liquid metal target development, etc.
Sterling and Wilson has been entrusted by Directorate of Construction Services & Estate Management (DCSEM), Department of Atomic Energy for providing External Electrical works for the Medical Cyclotron Project building at, Mouza Chowkgaria, Kolkata, West Bengal.
Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Electrical – 2 X 2.5 MVA, 11/0.433 kV Transformers, HT VCB Panels, LT Panels, HT & LT Power Cables, LT Control Cables, Busducts, Capacitor Panels, Battery & Battery charger, Earthing of the entire installation, etc. DG Sets – 2 X 750 kVA DG Sets with acoustic enclosure, complete with fuel tank, AMF Panel & Emergency panels.
