Mahindra Vehicle Manufacturers was established in 2007. The Chakan plant has an installed capacity of 3lakh vehicles and would be scaled up to meet the global demand and standards. The plant is spread across 700 acres of land and is equipped to roll out multiple products from the 0.75 tonne Maxximo to 49 tonne Navistar truck. Maxximo followed by the Navistar trucks were first to be rolled out of the plant.
Sterling and Wilson was chosen for complete electrification of the plant. We offered them Electrification work at LTV TCF Shop, LTV Body Shop, LTV ETA Shop, Press Shop, MNAL TCF Shop, MNAL Body Shop, Utility & External street lighting, A3 & A4 Body Shop, Construction Equipment Shop. Total project area was 280 acres.
The scope included Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 2 Nos., 4 MVA Transformers. Supply Installation Testing and Commissioning of 22kV Metering Kiosks, Power Distribution Boards, MCC panels, Sub Panels apprx. 60 Nos., LT Power & Control Cables 560 kms., Cable Trays 65 kms., Ashlok earth stations 450 nos. with earth connectivity 85 kms. Grid., Air insulated Al bus duct 1400 mtrs and sandwich type Cu bus duct 400mtrs. Light Fittings 18000 Nos, 350 nos street light fittings and 30 nos.
