Project Brief:

Indian Rare Earths Limited (IREL), under the administrative control of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has many units in India. Orissa Sands Complex (OSCOM) is a unit of IREL, located at a place called Chatrapur, district Ganjam, Odisha and is approximately 150 Km from Bhubaneswar. The OSCOM complex has a Monazite processing plant. Monazite is an important ore for thorium, lanthanum & cerium. Monazite is a yellow to reddish brown textured natural phosphate containing rare earth metals. It is one of the main ore minerals for rare earth elements that are used in varied applications by numerous industries.

Sterling and Wilson was entrusted with the responsibility of complete Design, Manufacture, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of electrical equipments (HT & LT) for Monazite Processing Plant.

Our Scope:

Design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning of electrical equipments (HT & LT) for Monazite Processing Plant at OSCOM. 11 kV HT Panels, LT Main Panels, Battery & Battery Charger, DC DBs HT & LT Power Cables, LT Control Cables, Earthing of the entire installation, etc. Installation, testing & commissioning of customer supplied transformers 2 X 2000 KVA, 11/0.433 kV, ONAN & 1 X 1600 KVA, 11/0.433 kV, ONAN.
